Rivage demo Pixl & Contactless guide
On this page
The pictured demo board uses the three left slots minus the two middle slots to produce the target color. The layout below is transcribed from StoryOfTheGame's Steam screenshot, which shows all ten row indicators green.
Use this only for the matching historical demo board. It is not a verified full-release solution, a claim of a unique solution, or an algorithm for every possible board.
Get Contactless and open the cabinet
- Log into the lobby computer using the checked password and open its wireless-symbol update app.
- Select UPDATE K9. The demonstrated page lists Miranda as OUT OF DATE.
- Use the in-game SCAN interaction on the displayed QR code. Wait through installation until CONTACTLESS SAVED IN K9 appears. Update and successful save, 35:58–36:14.
- Return to the maintenance cabinet beside the large projection screen. Approach its wireless-symbol lock, wait for the symbol to turn green, then use the handle above it to open the cover. The video shows the orange lock at 37:53, green at 37:54 and the revealed Pixl board at 37:56. Cabinet opening.
This records a successful route after installing Contactless; it does not establish an exact interaction distance or rule out every alternative way to open the cabinet. FuryForged's video discloses sponsorship by Raw Fury.
Read the board before placing pieces
There are ten rows. Each row has three square slots on the left and two circular slots in the middle. A minus sign separates those groups. The result must match the target on the far right.
The color legend combines red and blue into magenta, red and green into yellow, green and blue into cyan, and all three into white. The middle group subtracts color components. For example, red + green + blue on the left, with white in the middle, produces black.
Empty means an unoccupied socket, not a black piece. In the table, read each group from left to right and count rows from top to bottom.
The newly opened board at 38:02 contains 9 red, 8 blue, 6 green, 4 cyan, 3 magenta, 3 yellow and 2 white pieces, plus 15 empty sockets across the 50 editable slots. Those counts exactly match the solution below. Check your inventory before rearranging it; this is a verified match for the demonstrated board, not a promise that every build starts identically.
| Row | Left slot 1 | Left slot 2 | Left slot 3 | Middle slot 1 | Middle slot 2 | Target |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | White | Empty | Empty | Empty | Empty | White |
| 2 | Red | Green | Cyan | Green | Blue | Yellow |
| 3 | Cyan | Cyan | Empty | Cyan | Empty | Cyan |
| 4 | Magenta | Blue | Yellow | Yellow | Blue | Magenta |
| 5 | Green | Red | Blue | White | Empty | Black |
| 6 | Red | Green | Blue | Empty | Empty | White |
| 7 | Green | Magenta | Empty | Blue | Red | Green |
| 8 | Blue | Yellow | Empty | Green | Red | Blue |
| 9 | Red | Empty | Red | Empty | Red | Red |
| 10 | Empty | Magenta | Empty | Blue | Red | Black |
The source image shows green indicators for every row. A second player, Kali Crumbles at 1:19:00, independently reaches ten green lights with the same color groups. Some pieces occupy a different order within their group: this is a demonstrated layout, not a claim that every slot order is uniquely required. Compare the target sequence and available pieces with your own board before following the table.
What happens after the completed board
The second recording shows all ten green lights, followed by the room's projector playing a space-station introduction at 1:19:16. That is the observed result; this guide does not claim additional rewards or that solving this panel grants Contactless.
Why “just add the colors” is incomplete
The developer reply describes combining left and middle colors, but the pictured interface explicitly includes subtraction. Treating every occupied slot as positive would contradict this demonstrated layout.
The table has been checked against the image, its color arithmetic, the second player's completed board and the third player's initial inventory. This does not establish how the game handles arbitrary negative or excessive color values.
What Contactless changes
The official demo 0.9.61 notes say that after acquiring Contactless, players no longer need to re-enter passwords for PCs already unlocked in earlier loops. That is a documented system change. In the April recording above, Contactless is obtained from the lobby computer before the Pixl cabinet is opened; solving Pixl is not the demonstrated source of that upgrade. Official patch notes
For the computer login, see the lobby password. The safe guide and demo status cover earlier help and version limits.
