Rivage demo Astrolab & Dock pattern

On this page

In the April 2026 demo, the kitchen Dock System unlocks with a drawn pattern. Number its nine dots from left to right, top to bottom, then connect 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 7 → 5 → 6 → 8 → 9.

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9

Start at the top-left dot. Cross the top row to the right, go diagonally to middle-left, then down to bottom-left. Continue diagonally to the center, across to middle-right, diagonally to bottom-middle, and across to bottom-right. The recorded demo accepts this pattern and displays “DOCK PIN CODE SAVED IN K9.” Watch the input and confirmation.

Where the pattern comes from

The table's Pleiades Astrolab projects the clue onto the ceiling. If you have finished its rotating puzzle and are wondering what to do next, look up. Read the nine-dot outline with the small triangle beneath it pointing upward, then return to the tall white-and-green Dock System panel. The ceiling pattern matches the accepted input above. See the ceiling clue.

Astrolab handle positions

To reveal the clue, stand facing the Astrolab's green activation button, with the notch at the front of its circular base nearest you and the sofa beyond the table. In StoryOfTheGame's solved arrangement at 36:20, the outer handle is on the left, approximately 9 o'clock, and the inner handle is at the back, approximately 12 o'clock.

  1. Press the green button to turn on the hologram.
  2. Use the two handles to rotate their rings toward those positions. Identify the outer handle by its greater distance from the center.
  3. Check for the floating segmented cube to disappear and a blue beam to project upward.
  4. Look up for the ceiling pattern, then enter it on the Dock System as described above.

These positions describe the visible successful arrangement, not a fixed number of clicks from your current setup. The final adjustment at 36:15 leads into that result. If the projection is already visible, move on to the ceiling clue.

How to swap areas and what it costs

After unlocking, choose a destination on the same panel: Robots Area, Cultivation, or Lounge Area. Each destination displays a cost of 1 station energy. In the recorded Lounge-to-Robots switch, the station energy falls from three units to two and the surrounding room changes to robot facilities. Check your station energy before switching again. See the menu and completed switch.

These instructions cover the historical demo. Controls and costs in the release build have not been verified. For the next locks, see the access card and lobby computer guides; check demo status for version limits.

Checked September 9, 2026. The linked recording supplies the visible clue, accepted input and energy change. Steam's independently authored Astrolab hint and area-switching discussion support the direction and energy-use mechanic, but do not independently establish the exact pattern or numerical cost.
